I think that this is a fantastic picture. Despite the gore element in the image, it's not horrific enough to remove what, to me, reflects a rather romantic idea. I think that the blood looks very realistic, and the use of effects makes it all the more amazing. All in all, I really like the way it came out! Some finer points to mention, would be the way the handprint almost fades towards the finger tips, in my opinion that seems like it would be very real. The excess blood on the hand adds to it as well, considering the depth of the wound, however, I think would be alot more blood, but for the art aspect, it's just fine the way it is. It's a very interesting style, great job.

It's wonderful as far as far as coloring and special effects go. The idea behind it, as stated in the daily deviation is very true. It's very good in that nature and very original. I also love the close up of your hand, it brings the idea out regardless of the fact that you would have said anything in the description and it take quite a bit of talent to do that. My only suggestion it that you might want to make the blood a bit darker seeing as it's such a big wound the blood would be thicker and darker. Also it looks as if you might have photo shopped on the hand print on the chest. Next time if you did do that, you might want to just put the hand print on for real. If you didn't... well my bad ^^u

Over all it was a wonderful picture and it really caught my eye. It'll definitely be going into my fav's ^^
